This download is needed for administrators to set up activation for volume license editions of Office 2019, Project 2019, or Visio 2019 by using either the Key Management Service (KMS) or Active Directory. This language pack contains the language pack updates for the Aras Office Connector. This project will update the database to translate Items added by this solution. It is expected that the French Language has already been installed before this update is applied. This language pack includes updates to the server component of the Aras Office. This explains why you might install a Portuguese language pack, but still get some parts display in English after a reboot. See diagrams for details here. Note: Make sure to save your work and close the running programs before applying the steps below, because your computer may be restarted forcefully or by yourself. Language Interface Packs for Office 2016 are only available to Volume Licensing customers. These let you install Office 2016 in more than one language on a single computer. The system administrators can specify a language for each user for remote installation.
2.) Download the Language Packs for 64-bit (x64) Windows 7 RTM MUI Language Packs! In special cases, if you need to work with multiple people with different languages on one computer, you must change the user interface to the user's native language. This is not possible without installing the appropriate language pack.
Apache OpenOffice - Full Installation vs. Language Pack
By default Apache OpenOffice is offering a single language when installing a full installation. Full installation means that all application modules (Write, Calc, Impress, etc.) are available. The term does not belong to languages.
When you want to use one or more languages in OpenOffice for the user interface (for example, menus, dialogs and messages ) and help topics then it is recommended to use language packs. The idea is to have a base installation for, e.g., English (US) and additional languages on top without a need to install a full installation for every language. For this every language pack has to be installed over a full installation. Important is that the same version number and platform has to fit to the base installation (for example, it is not possible to install a language pack from release 4.1.9 over the base installation of 4.1.8).
Language packs contain only resource files to show menus, dialogs, messages, etc. in your favorite language but there is no program logic. In case text is not fully localized some elements of the user interface or help topics will display in English as default language.
After the language pack is installed the new language can be switched via the menu 'Tools - Options - Language - Settings - Languages - User Interface'.
Please note:
Currently dictionaries are not included in language packs, only in full installations. This limitation is a technical issue still to be fixed, see Bug 124473 for more details.
French Language
Users who install language packs must take an extra step to manually download the matching dictionary from the Extensions website.
Office 2019 Portuguese Language Pack Free
Dictionaries get improved independently of the release schedule of OpenOffice and are offered separately. They can be updated at any time when new versions are released.
